Digital nomad visa and residence in Montenegro

One of the world’s largest hotel operators, the French hospitality group Accor, has officially entered Montenegro. Last week, they signed an agreement to assume the management of one of the most beautiful hotels in Montenegro, the 5-star Heritage Grand Perast Hotel. The hotel, which is located in a renovated traditional 18th-century Boka Bay palace will be included in the Rixos brand portfolio.

Although the first one to start, this will not be the only hotel the Accor group will manage in Montenegro. They have already signed agreements for several hotels that are currently in the building phase in our country. They will operate a Swissôtelin Kolašin, the Montenegrin winter hotspot. In addition, they plan to operate another Rixos hotel in Sutomore, and a Pullman-branded resort and residences in Bar. Also, a Mövenpick branded hotel is planned for Risan, in Boka Bay.

International hotel brands in Montenegro

For anyone following the Montenegrin tourism and property markets in recent years, this is no surprise, as the country has been a magnet for world hotel brands in the last decade. Hilton and Voco operate successfully in Podgorica, Iberostar has been present in Montenegro for a long time, and Nikki Beach operates two resorts in Budva and Boka Bay. One & Only recently opened its first 5-star resort in Europe in Herceg Novi, which includes a Henry Chenot spa. InterContinental Group operates the Regent Porto Montenegro Hotel in Tivat and will soon operate the Amma resort near Bar. GHM Luxury hotels have their brand The Chedi in Montenegro, and Hyatt Regency will operate a beautiful resort in Boka Bay starting mid-2023.

All the brands are a good sign of the potential of tourism and investments in Montenegro. But, there is one very important benefit that many overlook. They bring high business standards, making the whole hotel industry in Montenegro willing to keep up and do business with high standards. So if you decide to spend some time in Montenegro in a 5-star hotel, you’ll be in good hands.
