The Boka Aquarium has reopened for visitors today after two months of interior renovation and the setting up of two new aquarium pools. These works were supported by the EXCHAngE project.
“We hope that the visitors will be satisfied with the renovated aquarium. But more importantly, the aquarium now has better conditions for seawater preparations, as well as for living conditions for all sea organisms here”, the Institute for Sea Biology says.
With the aquarium reopening comes a new experience for visitors at the open space exhibition, which has two pavilions. Both pavilions represent the invisible sea world, as well as the ways to protect the Adriatic Sea from pollution. Besides, there are two LED totems displaying info material about the aquarium and fascinating facts about the sea.
As stated, there is also a new offer for visitors – the Blue Card. This card is developed for cross-border visitors who are visiting Montenegro, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Blue Card offers discounted prices for the following theme routes: Dubrovnik and aquarium in Croatia, Kotor and Boka Aquarium in Montenegro, and water trails Hutovo Blato and Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Institute adds that they believe the Blue Card will improve the cross-border mobility of tourists and contribute to a better knowledge of the region’s water biodiversity.
